Batik

Batik is a wax-resist technique from Java, recognised by UNESCO in 2009. You draw patterns in wax on fabric before it is coloured. An experienced instructor shows you the tools, the colours and the technique, then you paint what you like.

The canvas is varnished after the class and delivered to you the next day.
